The security alert level at the U.S. Al Udeid air base in Qatar has been lowered, following a precautionary response to an earlier threat. According to three sources familiar with the situation, U.S. aircraft temporarily relocated from the base are now returning.
One source confirmed the movement of U.S. aircraft back to Al Udeid after they were moved out on Wednesday. Additionally, personnel who were temporarily advised to leave the base are also being permitted to return, as stated by two diplomatic sources who spoke under conditions of anonymity.
The U.S. embassy in Qatar has refrained from commenting on the situation, despite being contacted by Reuters for a statement.
