Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has been cautioned by Akal Takht following controversial remarks on Sikh traditions. Acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargajj stated that Mann was advised against making such statements in the future.
The Chief Minister, who appeared at the Akal Takht secretariat, acknowledged his past comments were inappropriate. He consented to a forensic examination of a viral video linked to the controversy. The video relates to remarks on 'Guru ki Golak' and objectionable actions with Sikh guru images.
Mann suggested two forensic labs for verification purposes, while the Akal Takht will independently conduct its examination. The results will be shared with the 'Khalsa Panth' for further decisions. The jathedar emphasized the need for precise statements regarding Sikh sentiments to avoid character malignment.
