The Gujarat assembly's Budget Session is set to begin on February 16 and will extend until March 25. Speaker Shankar Chaudhary announced that Finance Minister Kanu Desai will present the 2026-27 budget on February 17.

The session is scheduled to have 26 sittings over 23 days, with Governor Acharya Devvrat addressing the legislative body on the opening day. A condolence motion for recently deceased state leaders will also be presented that day.

Three days are reserved for debating the Governor's address, while four days each are set aside for government business, bill discussions, and general budget talks. Additionally, there will be 12 sittings for grant demand discussions and a couple for supplementary demands, with non-government business occupying six sittings. A meeting of the working advisory committee will finalize the assembly's schedule.
