Karnataka's Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has pulled out of the World Economic Forum in Davos, initially planned from January 18 to January 23, 2026, due to pressing political commitments.
The WEF meeting, gathering around 3,000 leaders globally, is set under the theme "A Spirit of Dialogue," amid geopolitical and economic challenges.
Shivakumar's withdrawal underlines his priority to address urgent organizational responsibilities in New Delhi and Bangalore, particularly regarding the Assam Assembly elections, under the directive of the AICC president.
