AIADMK's Campaign Promises: A New Dawn for Tamil Nadu?

AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami unveiled key promises for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly election. These include monthly financial assistance for women, free bus rides for men, housing schemes, and extended rural employment opportunities. Palaniswami aims to reclaim voter confidence and outdo rivals like the DMK.

AIADMK's General Secretary, Edappadi K Palaniswami, has revealed the party's strategic plans ahead of the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Among the promises is a significant monthly financial aid of Rs 2,000 for women heads of family ration cardholders. This move aims to surpass the DMK's Rs 1,000 monthly entitlement launched in 2023.

Other promises include free bus transportation for men and housing projects for urban and rural poor. By expanding rural employment days and reviving the Amma Two-wheeler scheme, the AIADMK seeks to strengthen its voter base in the region.
