President Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey has voiced his optimism regarding the U.S.-backed ceasefire agreement between Damascus and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF). Speaking on Monday, Erdogan emphasized the need for the deal's swift and smooth implementation.
The ceasefire arrangement envisions the integration of Kurdish-administered territories with the central government in Damascus. This merger is viewed as a significant development in the Syrian conflict.
Following a Turkish cabinet meeting, Erdogan suggested that the agreement opens a new chapter for the people of Syria, potentially leading to broader stability in the region.
