Soren Slams Budget: Jharkhand's Mineral Wealth Overlooked

Chief Minister Hemant Soren sharply criticized the 2026-27 Union Budget, pointing out that Jharkhand was conspicuously absent in discussions of mineral wealth despite accounting for 42% of India's mineral extraction.
Addressing the 47th foundation day of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in Dumka, Soren vowed to resist injustices against the state and criticized political maneuvering he attributes to the opposition.
He celebrated his father's legacy, Shibu Soren, recently nominated for the Padma Bhushan, amid party-led parades and celebrations at Gandhi Maidan.
