The Congress-led UDF opposition in Kerala has taken a firm stance against the assembly proceedings, refusing to cooperate due to alleged interference from the Chief Minister's office in the ongoing SIT investigation into the Sabarimala gold loss cases.
Leader of Opposition V D Satheesan expressed dissatisfaction with the current state of the investigation, asserting that conditions were enabling the accused to secure bail. He accused the CM's office of exerting undue pressure on the proceedings and declared the opposition's intention to escalate their protest internally within the House.
The protest comes after a vigilance court granted bail to individuals linked to the Sabarimala gold loss cases, intensifying criticism over the involvement of CPI(M) leaders. With opposition MLAs openly challenging the government, the dramatic display of placards and slogans marked a significant moment in Kerala's political landscape.
