Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi presented claims on Wednesday, citing an unpublished memoir by former Army chief MM Naravane. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of deflecting responsibilities during the 2020 India-China conflict.
Gandhi pointed out that the government, including the Speaker and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, denies the existence of Naravane's memoir, wherein the ex-Army chief details the Ladakh conflicts.
Gandhi, prohibited from citing the memoir in Parliament, expressed that the ruling party fears this information coming to light. He criticized what he sees as censorship regarding a matter of national security.
