Union Home Minister Amit Shah has embarked on a day-long visit to Puducherry, during which he will partake in a series of political engagements. Shah's arrival in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchirappalli on Friday night was marked by a warm reception from Union Ministers Mansukh Mandaviya and L Murugan, and Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nainar Nagenthran, affirming the significance of his political tour. With eyes set on bolstering BJP's foothold in Puducherry, Shah's visit comes at a strategic time.
