Union Home Minister Amit Shah has embarked on a day-long visit to Puducherry, during which he will partake in a series of political engagements. Shah's itinerary includes crucial meetings with Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy, an ally of the BJP, as well as interactions with election in-charges and state officials.
During his visit, Shah is set to participate in a 'wall writing' election campaign in Karaikal and address a gathering at Santhai Thidal. The visit also marks the launch of the 'Booth Vijay Abhiyan,' an initiative to strengthen BJP's grassroots presence in the region.
Shah's arrival in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchirappalli on Friday night was marked by a warm reception from Union Ministers Mansukh Mandaviya and L Murugan, and Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nainar Nagenthran, affirming the significance of his political tour. With eyes set on bolstering BJP's foothold in Puducherry, Shah's visit comes at a strategic time.
