Tamil Nadu BJP chief Nainar Nagenthran expressed strong criticism against actor-politician Vijay on Monday, questioning the policy clarity of his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. Nagenthran challenged Vijay to clearly state his party's policies ahead of the upcoming Assembly election.
Addressing reporters, Nagenthran remarked, "Does he have any policy? He has written the word policy only on paper. Let him explain his party's policies clearly." The BJP leader's remarks come amid growing political tension as parties prepare for the elections.
Meanwhile, AIADMK senior leader Dindigul C Srinivasan also directed comments towards Vijay, suggesting that he should contest based on his own strength and identity, rather than invoking past AIADMK leaders such as M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa. Srinivasan added that Vijay should refrain from associating with the legacy of these leaders if he is truly independent.
