In a significant shift in Nepal's political landscape, Balendra Shah's Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is achieving unexpected electoral success. Emerging as a new political force, the RSP is gaining strength in Nepal's general elections, threatening the dominance of traditional parties and reflecting changing voter sentiments.

RSP, led by former rapper and politician Balendra Shah, has already claimed 39 out of 50 declared seats and is leading in 80 others, promising a significant restructuring of Nepal's political framework. The party is eyeing a clean sweep in key regions such as Madhesh province and Kathmandu Valley.

The election is closely watched internationally, as Nepal navigates calls for stability and progress. India, in particular, remains supportive, seeking continuity in partnerships. Balendra Shah, if elected as prime minister, is expected to usher in changes demanded by the Gen Z protests, including anti-corruption and generational shifts in leadership.
