Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, is set to join the Janata Dal (United) on Sunday at 1 pm, as confirmed by the party's National Working President Sanjay Jha. This move comes as Nishant prepares to engage in discussions with youth MLAs and MLCs about future strategies.

Speaking to reporters, Sanjay Jha reiterated the party's commitment to its roots. He acknowledged Nishant's looming entry, emphasizing that JD(U) is a reflection of Nitish Kumar's two-decade-long leadership. Despite Nitish's anticipated shift to the Rajya Sabha, Jha assured continued governance under Nitish's guidance until at least 2025-30.

The young progeny has already begun to assert his presence, meeting with senior party leaders and young MLAs at Sanjay Jha's residence. The discussions centered around the party's strategic direction, catalyzed by Nitish's decision to move back to the Centre—a historic transition marked by his Rajya Sabha nomination, hinting at a transformative era for JD(U).
