In a significant development, two Bangladeshi individuals accused of the politically sensitive murder of activist Osman Hadi have been apprehended by the special task force of the West Bengal Police, officials announced on Sunday.
The suspects, Rahul alias Faisal Karim Masud, 37, and Alamgir Hossain, 34, were captured in the border district of North 24 Parganas. Their arrest follows credible intelligence that the two had entered India illegally after committing serious crimes in Bangladesh, including murder and extortion.
The duo reportedly moved through various locations within India, attempting to evade capture. The events have brought attention to cross-border crime issues and the critical importance of vigilance on international borders.
