The TVK has dismissed the ruling DMK's upcoming mega-conference in Trichy as an 'artificial awakening', accusing the party of staging a forced display of power. TVK leader Nanjil Sampath highlighted the growing public support for actor-politician Vijay, suggesting the DMK is reacting out of sheer fear rather than confidence.
Amidst rising political tensions, Sampath accused the DMK of leveraging government machinery to create a false image of momentum while cribbing about 'copycat' allegations regarding welfare schemes. Specifically, Sampath refuted claims that Vijay's proposed Rs 2,500 women's grant copies the DMK's existing scheme.
Additionally, Sampath pointed out alleged administrative failures in the education sector under the DMK, citing corrupt practices in university appointments. Despite these criticisms, the TVK leader remained confident, stating no immediate need for electoral coalitions.
