Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's chief, Raj Thackeray, commemorated the party's 20th anniversary by launching a new membership initiative. Addressing the cadre at the historic Raigad Fort, Thackeray emphasized grassroots mobilization to boost the party's presence across Maharashtra.
During the event, Thackeray encouraged party workers to establish registration stalls in active public spaces like schools, colleges, temples, and markets, to connect with potential members. He expressed optimism about the public's interest in becoming active participants rather than nominal members.
The membership campaign was symbolically launched with blessings from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, also tying it with the upcoming Gudi Padwa rally to be held at Shivaji Park on March 19, echoing the date of the party's inaugural rally two decades ago.
