Indian National Injured in Saudi Projectile Incident, No Fatalities

An incident involving a military projectile striking a residential compound in Saudi Arabia resulted in no Indian fatalities, according to the Indian Embassy in Riyadh. The embassy reported that an Indian national injured in the incident is currently being treated at a government hospital.

A social media statement from the embassy expressed relief over the absence of Indian deaths in the incident at Al Kharj. The embassy continues to engage with relevant Saudi authorities on the situation. Counsellor, Community Welfare, Y Sabir visited the injured national in Al-Kharj.

Saudi authorities revealed that two fatalities from the incident were of Bangladeshi nationality, with additional injured individuals being Bangladeshi, along with the one injured Indian national. The incident comes amid broader regional tensions with recent US and Israeli military actions impacting the Gulf.
