Political Clash: Agriculture Schemes at the Heart of West Bengal's Electoral Battle

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a scathing attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) government in West Bengal, accusing it of neglecting central agriculture schemes, thus causing injustice to farmers.

The criticism comes amid a fierce political battle between the BJP and TMC ahead of the state's Assembly elections. Chouhan, while addressing the Lok Sabha, accused the West Bengal government of committing a 'sin' by not implementing initiatives like the PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana.

He further accused the state of 'mean politics' and predicted a shift in governance post-election. In contrast, he highlighted the progress accomplished nationally in the agriculture sector, including the creation of separate IDs for farmers.
