The Election Commission has firmly rejected allegations made by the Trinamool Congress concerning the opening of ballot boxes without the necessary oversight of party representatives. According to officials, the principal strong rooms are both secured and locked while ballot segregation proceeds in nearby corridors.
The Commission’s response follows a video shared by the Trinamool Congress on social media, accusing the BJP of tampering with the election process. Election officials emphasized that all strong rooms, housing electronic voting machines, were sealed in the presence of party candidates and election observers.
This development sparked uproar from Trinamool Congress leaders, who staged a protest. They accused the BJP of violating electoral protocols. In response, BJP officials claimed the TMC was spreading false information ahead of election results, insisting on the strong room's security and transparency within the process.
