Despite Z+ NSG protection, the incident occurred at a marriage function. The accused, Kamal Singh Jamwal, was apprehended, highlighting serious security lapses.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan expressed shock and concern over the assassination attempt on former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah, questioning the security breach despite Abdullah's Z+ NSG protection.

Vijayan, commenting on social media platform 'X', emphasized the gravity of the situation and demanded immediate answers from authorities.

Abdullah narrowly escaped when a gunman, 63-year-old Kamal Singh Jamwal, fired at him at Greater Kailash. Jamwal, arrested by police, allegedly targeted Abdullah for 20 years.
