An Israeli airstrike wreaked havoc in central Beirut on the same day, flattening an apartment building and killing at least ten people. Tragically, amongst the casualties were Mohammed Sherri, a noted journalist with Hezbollah's Al-Manar TV, and his wife. Sherri was well-regarded in Lebanon for his impact in political reporting.

In response to regional chaos, Iraq announced the resumption of oil exports from the Kirkuk fields through a pipeline to Turkey, sidestepping the Persian Gulf where conflict poses risks to shipping routes. Meanwhile, Israel unsparingly disrupted a UNICEF aid shipment to Gaza amid allegations of smuggling tobacco products under the guise of humanitarian goods.
