During a public meeting in Nellore district, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu definitively stated that Amaravati will remain the sole capital of the state, dismissing any notion of relocation. Naidu commended public efforts in infrastructure projects, such as the restoration of the Vinjamur Old Tank and a major water diversion project from the Somasila canal. These projects, he emphasized, are set to enhance water availability and boost local agriculture and livelihoods.
