Concerns over the safety of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief Vijay have been raised by party officials. On Wednesday, a letter addressed to Union Home Minister Amit Shah highlighted alleged security lapses during Vijay's recent campaign stop in Perambur.
As Vijay is under the 'Y' category protection, the TVK's joint general secretary, C T R Nirmal Kumar, expressed worries and urged Minister Shah to urgently attend to this matter. The party called for immediate action to bolster security measures and manage traffic effectively during Vijay's public engagements.
The urgency is amplified with the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections scheduled for April 23, prompting the TVK to seek enhanced protective measures for their chief to ensure safe campaign trails.
