Major TDP Reshuffle Highlights Nara Lokesh's New Leadership Role

Nara Lokesh has been appointed as the National Working President of Andhra Pradesh's ruling TDP, signifying a generational shift. In a politically charged development, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Andhra Pradesh has appointed Nara Lokesh as the National Working President, denoting a major generational shift within the ruling party. Lokesh is the son of TDP supremo and Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, and also the grandson of party founder NT Rama Rao.

This reshuffle coincides with the appointment of the first woman National General Secretary, Nandyal MP B Shabari, and the reappointment of Gajuwaka MLA P Srinivas Rao as the state president. The reorganization signals a decisive transformation in TDP's approach, focusing on solidifying its structure under Lokesh's leadership to tackle future political challenges.

The newly formed committees, spearheaded by Lokesh, include a 29-member politburo, a 31-member national committee, and a 185-member state committee, with substantial representation for women, reflecting a commitment to 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies.
