Modi's Bengal Pledge: Change on the Horizon

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised the people of West Bengal for their enthusiastic participation in the ongoing assembly elections, indicating an overwhelming desire for change. Speaking at a rally in Krishnanagar, Modi highlighted the notably low violence during these polls, compared to a 50-year history of electoral unrest in the state.

Modi used this opportunity to take a swipe at the ruling party, TMC, mocking their discomfort over the 'jhalmuri' incident. He humorously likened the dish's spiciness to the political challenges faced by TMC. Additionally, he introduced a new set of assurances, dubbed 'Modi-ki-guarantees,' aimed at uplifting the state's women and children.

The Prime Minister also firmed up BJP's stance on citizenship, promising expedited processes under the CAA for refugees, should the party seize power in Bengal. Modi's speech conveyed confidence in BJP's potential to secure a decisive victory in the state.
