Political Tensions Rise as AAP MPs Defect to BJP

The DMK accuses the BJP of using undemocratic means to recruit AAP MPs. Seven AAP Rajya Sabha MPs, dissatisfied with their party leadership, announced a merger with the BJP. The BJP welcomed the defectors, citing leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a driving factor.

The DMK has launched serious allegations against the BJP, accusing the party of engaging in fraudulent and anti-democratic tactics. The accusations came after seven AAP Rajya Sabha MPs announced their decision to merge with the BJP.

AAP MPs Raghav Chadha and Sandeep Pathak, along with five others, cited dissatisfaction with their current party leadership as a key reason for their political shift. This mass defection is met with mixed reactions, with AAP leadership appealing for disqualification of the defecting MPs.

In response, BJP's Tamil Nadu chief spokesperson, Narayanan Tirupathy, highlighted the MPs' discontent with AAP leadership and their appreciation for BJP's policies under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Anticipating further defections, Tirupathy expressed optimism about more leaders joining the BJP.
