Union Home Minister Amit Shah emphasized the BJP's commitment to women's safety, industrial rejuvenation, and eliminating infiltrators if they assume power in West Bengal. Shah made this declaration at a roadshow in Howrah, promising these priorities will shape the BJP's governance strategy.
As the first phase of voting concluded with 93% voter turnout, Shah addressed speculation about the high polling percentage, saying, 'Everything will be clear on May 4, the day of the results.' His statement came amid the TMC's assertions that the turnout reflects public discontent.
The senior BJP leader refrained from making predictions about the remaining 142 seats yet to be contested in the upcoming second and final phase of elections. The decisive round of voting for the West Bengal assembly is set for April 29, with high stakes for all parties involved.
