The BJP's Meghalaya unit orchestrated a series of protest marches on Saturday in Shillong, urging opposition parties to throw their support behind the Women's Reservation Bill, which aims to ensure 33% reservation for women.

Leading the charge at the Khyndailad city center protest was Arena Hynniewta, president of the BJP Meghalaya Mahila Morcha, alongside East Khasi Hills district president Priambadah Blah and other key members.

Confidence was expressed by Hynniewta in the Narendra Modi-led Central government's commitment to making this reservation a reality. Additionally, state BJP secretaries participated in a parallel rally near Polo.
