The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) found itself at the center of a new political controversy as spokesperson Ravula Sridhar responded to criticisms from Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS) founder K. Kavitha. Sridhar asserted that political parties built on 'narrow interests, hatred, or personal agendas' cannot sustain themselves in the long run.
Speaking candidly to ANI, Sridhar underscored the necessity for political organizations to have a genuine public cause and a solid organizational framework to last. He used this opportunity to highlight the towering political legacy of KCR, stating that KCR has been a pivotal leader in Telangana's history for more than four decades.
Despite the criticisms, Sridhar attributed Telangana’s development to KCR's leadership, noting achievements in sectors such as irrigation, energy, and IT. Meanwhile, K. Kavitha’s newly formed party, the TRS, accused KCR of losing touch with the electorate, suggesting that power had corrupted his ideals.
