Amid swirling political speculations, Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara announced that AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge has decisively put an end to rumors regarding a change in leadership within the state. Addressing reporters, Parameshwara emphasized that Kharge's statement should be respected and accepted by all party members.
Kharge, after discussions with prominent Congress figures like Rahul and Sonia Gandhi, stated that the current chief minister of Karnataka will remain in office for the time being. Parameshwara highlighted Kharge's experience and authority, underscoring the need to adhere to the directive from the party's high command.
The political circles have been rife with speculation of a leadership reshuffle following a reported power-sharing arrangement between Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar. However, Kharge’s recent announcement seemingly draws a 'full stop' to these talks, at least temporarily.
