Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa called for alcometer and dope testing of Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and all legislators, highlighting concerns over the dignity and decorum of the House. Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan dismissed these demands by Congress MLAs.

Bajwa referenced an incident about a session where the Chief Minister allegedly left without addressing accusations, a move that could erode public confidence if not addressed. He insisted on immediate testing to maintain transparency and accountability.

In response, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema accused the opposition of making baseless claims and suggested these are attempts to defame the Chief Minister in retaliation for being exposed for unauthorized land occupation.
