Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and TMC national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee have expressed strong confidence in their party's performance in the upcoming West Bengal assembly election results. During a virtual meeting with counting agents, the leaders asserted that TMC is poised to secure over 200 of the 294 assembly seats.
Addressing concerns ahead of the May 4 vote count, they urged agents to remain vigilant and report any irregularities at counting centers. The meeting also emphasized staying at the centers until the process concludes and being cautious about the effects of exit polls and market influence.
Highlighting past instances of alleged malpractice, both leaders pointed out the necessity of transparency and adherence to protocols. Mamata Banerjee assured support for party workers affected by central forces during elections, while Abhishek Banerjee criticized the Election Commission for perceived biases.
