The CPI(M)-led LDF government in Kerala is facing a significant electoral challenge as counting progresses following the April 9 Assembly elections. It's reported that at least 12 ministers, including Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan in his Dharmadam stronghold, are trailing.
This development marks a potential shift in Kerala's political dynamics. The Congress-UDF is leading in more than 90 seats, a considerable margin compared to the LDF, which is leading in just over 40 seats. The BJP-led NDA is leading in four constituencies.
Among those reportedly trailing are Veena George, M B Rajesh, and K B Ganesh Kumar, among others. The current results suggest a considerable shift, echoing the potential impact on future governance in the state.
