Vijay's TVK Makes Historic Strides in Tamil Nadu Assembly Polls

Actor-politician Vijay's party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), was leading in 83 constituencies during the counting of votes in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, surpassing major parties DMK and AIADMK. This places him on the brink of a historic electoral upset reminiscent of landmark victories in 1967 and 1977.

In a surprising turn of events in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has taken a commanding lead in 83 constituencies, threatening the dominance of traditional giants DMK and AIADMK.

The electoral trend, reminiscent of the pivotal 1967 and 1977 electoral shifts, saw TVK leading in key segments traditionally held by the DMK, sparking discussions of a major political upheaval.

As reports from the Election Commission emerged, a poor showing for the DMK raised eyebrows, especially with Chief Minister M K Stalin and his son Udhayanidhi trailing behind TVK contenders.
