The latest data from Assam's elections reveal a strong lead for BJP representatives, as proclaimed by the Election Commission. Key ministers, including Agriculture Minister Atul Bora and Industry Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, are at the forefront.
Atul Bora, also head of the Asom Gana Parishad, is outpacing his Raijor Dal opponent in Bokakhat by over 3,000 votes post initial round counting. Chandra Mohan Patowary leads from Tihu, his victory amplified by over 5,000 votes against a Congress contender.
Elections occur amid redistricting shifts, significantly altering the political landscape. Simultaneously, Finance Minister Ajanta Neog secures a substantial lead in Golaghat, while Minister Ashok Singhal excels in Dhekiajuli by 3,230 votes.
