Udhayanidhi Stalin, the Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, secured a significant win in the Chepauk-Thiruvallikeni constituency on Monday, defeating TVK's Selvam D by a margin of 7,140 votes.

The victory reaffirms the DMK's dominant position in the historic assembly seat, once represented by former Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, Udhayanidhi's grandfather.
