In a dramatic political development, LJK founder Jose Charles Martin clinched a decisive victory in the Kamaraj Nagar constituency in Puducherry. Martin, aligned with the AINRC-led NDA, surpassed Congress contender P K Devadoss by a significant margin, securing 16,592 votes against Devadoss's 10,205, as per Election Commission data.

Simultaneously, the election in the Raj Bhavan constituency saw DMK's Vignesh Kannan narrowly outpace BJP's V P Ramalingame by 287 votes. Kannan garnered 7,304 votes, while Ramalingame received 7,017, marking a critical win for the DMK in the region.
