In a pivotal political development, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday, after Shah's appointment as the BJP's central observer for the West Bengal assembly elections. This strategic move follows the BJP's significant electoral win, securing 207 seats and poised to form the government.
Amit Shah's new role involves crafting and overseeing the BJP's strategic maneuvers in West Bengal, where Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress clinched 80 seats. The party's triumph signifies an expansion of the BJP-led NDA's influence, mirroring its successes in states like Assam.
In tandem with his duties in West Bengal, Shah collaborates with Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and the BJP appointed JP Nadda for strategic leadership in Assam's legislative assembly after capturing 82 seats. Concurrently, Delhi's LG was part of 'World Liver Day' events, highlighting crucial liver health awareness.
