Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav announced a strategic realignment on Wednesday, revealing the party's decision to end its partnership with the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC). The move, attributed to financial limitations, counters rumors of a reaction to recent election results.
Yadav emphasized that the partnership with I-PAC was a temporary measure ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. He clarified that ongoing financial constraints hindered the continuation of the collaboration, not the outcomes of recent state elections, such as in West Bengal.
The I-PAC, known for managing major electoral campaigns and associated with strategist Prashant Kishor, had briefly collaborated with Samajwadi Party. Yadav jokingly remarked on the trend of hiring 'winning agencies' and mentioned alternative strategies being considered, including surveys and social media management.
