KPCC Convenes to Elect Kerala's Next Chief Minister Amid Historic Election Victory

The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee is set for its inaugural Legislative Party meeting to determine the next Chief Minister after a significant election victory. In a pivotal move following an emphatic electoral victory in Kerala, the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) is preparing for its first Legislative Party meeting on Thursday. The gathering, slated for 10:30 am at the KPCC headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram, was confirmed by KPCC President Sunny Joseph.

This critical meeting will focus on deliberating the Chief Ministerial candidate, with senior Congress observers Mukul Wasnik and Ajay Maken set to gauge the views of newly elected legislators. The ongoing speculation surrounds several key contenders, including KC Venugopal, Ramesh Chennithala, and VD Satheesan.

In the recent assembly elections, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) achieved a commanding victory, clinching 102 out of 140 seats, marking a major shift in Kerala's political landscape.
