Karnataka BJP president B Y Vijayendra has announced comprehensive plans for 'Abhimanotsava,' an event to celebrate party stalwart and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. A large turnout is expected on May 9, featuring a notable presence of dignitaries including Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
In response to scheduling demands, program timings have been adjusted, now set from 2 pm to 5 pm to accommodate Shah's travel from a swearing-in ceremony in West Bengal to Chitradurga. The event forecasts participation from over 1 million supporters and religious leaders, necessitating extensive logistical efforts.
Despite recent electoral setbacks in Davanagere South and Bagalkote bypolls, Vijayendra remains confident in the party's prospects, crediting strong leadership within BJP. He criticized state government welfare schemes for influencing voters, underlining BJP's resilience led by figures like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah.
