In a post on X, Sharma said the decisive steps taken under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi reflected strong political will and a new India that responds to challenges with courage and determination. ''New India does not remain silent in the face of terror and challenges, but knows how to respond with courage, resolve and strength,'' the chief minister said. Sharma said national security and honour are paramount and the country is fully capable of taking every necessary step to safeguard them. The chief minister also changed his social media profile photo to the 'Operation Sindoor' logo.
