Prateek Yadav, the younger son of the late Samajwadi Party leader Mulayam Singh Yadav, died on Wednesday from cardiac-lung complications at the age of 38. Despite being part of a prominent political family, Prateek opted to live a relatively private life.
Family members, supporters, and politicians from the SP and BJP expressed their condolences. His wife, Aparna Bisht Yadav, who is a BJP member and vice chairperson of the State Women's Commission, rushed back to pay her respects. Prateek's sudden demise has led to the postponement of political events as a mark of respect.
According to a provisional postmortem report from King George's Medical University, Prateek suffered a cardiorespiratory collapse caused by massive pulmonary thromboembolism. His long battle with deep vein thrombosis and recent cardiac ailments had worsened his condition, leading to his untimely death.
