V D Satheesan, the new chief minister-designate of Kerala, made a spiritually significant visit to the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple on Thursday evening.

The day marked crucial political developments, with the All India Congress Committee naming him as the leading face for the CM post, followed by his unanimous election as the leader of the Congress Legislature Party in the state Assembly.

Senior Congress figures, including Deepa Dasmunsi and Sunny Joseph, joined Satheesan to submit the letter of support to the Governor. His temple visit, cloaked in traditional attire, paid homage to the long-standing cultural customs of the state.
