The Shiv Sena, part of the ruling Mahayuti coalition, took this decision in consultation with NCP leaders to prevent any rift and maintain alliances. Despite challenges in immediate communication with top NCP leaders, the transition went forward smoothly.

This realignment highlights the dynamic nature of Maharashtra politics, especially following Paranjpe’s departure from NCP where he sided with Ajit Pawar's faction. His political journey has seen him representing Shiv Sena in the Lok Sabha twice before.
