In a significant political development, Lieutenant Governor K Kailashnathan has appointed A Anbalagan, representing AIADMK, as the pro-tem Speaker of Puducherry’s 16th Legislative Assembly.
The recommendation came directly from Chief Minister N Rangasamy. This move underscores the strategic alliances within the ruling coalition, as AINRC founder N Rangasamy assumed office as the Chief Minister for the fifth time.
The NDA, having successfully retained power in the April polls, also welcomed cabinet members Malladi Krishna Rao and A Namassivayam as ministers, cementing their legislative control in Puducherry.
