AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal, on Friday, assured that differences among Kerala Congress leaders over the chief minister selection would be resolved amicably. Venugopal, also a contender for the CM position, emphasized party unity as he arrived to a warm reception.

Venugopal confirmed speaking with Ramesh Chennithala and endorsed V D Satheesan as CM-designate. Chennithala, though initially absent from party meetings, visited Sree Krishna temple and later extended support to Satheesan in person. Discussions around Chennithala's potential cabinet role remain ongoing.

Venugopal urged Congress workers to accept the leadership's decision and dismissed speculations about factionalism. He affirmed a commitment to disciplined governance and assured ministers would be selected on merit. Satheesan's swearing-in will occur on May 18, marking a new chapter for Kerala's leadership.
