On Monday, Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao accused the BRS of trying to defame the BJP by highlighting the POCSO case against the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar. At a gathering of party leaders, Rao maintained that, should wrongdoing be evident, action against Bandi Sanjay would proceed; yet, he asserted the minister's innocence.
Rao criticized the BRS, particularly leader K T Rama Rao, accusing them of wasting funds on media campaigns to besmirch the BJP. He called for leaving the case to the police, stressing the high crime rate against women during the BRS's tenure, citing several incidents.
Rao alleged a secret pact between the BRS and Congress, demanding the latter act on several cases tied to the BRS. The BJP leader highlighted controversies around the Kaleshwaram project and the Formula E race, alluding to financial irregularities and political accountability.
