Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay is scheduled to visit New Delhi on Wednesday, marking his first visit to the capital since assuming office. Sources indicate that during his visit, Vijay is likely to meet with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as well as senior Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. This is a significant step in establishing political strategies and alliances post his party's sweeping electoral victory.

The Chief Minister's itinerary also includes the inauguration of a statue of the revered Tamil poet-saint Thiruvalluvar at Jawaharlal Nehru University, a project completed by the Tamil Nadu government. This adds a cultural facet to his official tour, emphasizing Tamil Nadu's rich heritage on a national platform.

Vijay's visit follows his emergence as Tamil Nadu's 13th Chief Minister with a landslide victory that overturned the long-held political balance dominated by DMK and AIADMK parties. His party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), not only secured the majority in assembly elections but also forged crucial alliances with Congress and other regional parties. The new administration has made significant portfolio allocations, notably creating a dedicated Artificial Intelligence department, highlighting its focus on technological advancement and modernization.
