The decision of several AIADMK legislators to resign and join the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has drawn sharp criticism from political allies. P Shanmugam of CPI (M) voiced concerns over the actions, arguing they pose a threat to healthy politics.
Shanmugam remarked that the swift inclusion of former AIADMK MLAs into TVK appears to encourage politically unstable conduct. VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan echoed these sentiments, suggesting this undermines TVK's credibility. Both leaders warned that such political maneuvers might lead to undesired legal and ethical consequences.
